A zero-token terminal dashboard that shows today's '''due''' jikan todos in a tmux pane above Claude Code, and completes them with a keypress. It talks straight to the <code>mg.robnugen.com</code> API as a plain HTTP client — no Claude tokens, fully deterministic.

== One-time setup ==

# Put the jikan key in <code>~/.config/jikan/dashboard.env</code> as <code>JIKAN_API_KEY=…</code> (same X-API-Key the jikan MCP uses). Timezone defaults to <code>Australia/Adelaide</code> via <code>JIKAN_TZ</code>.

== Run ==

* Keep the current chat in the bottom pane: <code>CLAUDE_CMD="claude --resume" ./jikan_cockpit.sh</code>
* Taller dashboard: <code>DASH_HEIGHT=20 ./jikan_cockpit.sh</code>

== Use ==
* Focus dashboard: <code>Ctrl-b ↑</code> (or click). Back to Claude: <code>Ctrl-b ↓</code>.
* Complete a todo: press its <code>[hotkey]</code>. Counters (e.g. <code>Drink Water 0/5</code>) advance one per press.
* <code>r</code> = refresh now (auto-refreshes every 15s).
* Resize: drag the border (mouse on), or <code>Ctrl-b</code> then <code>Ctrl-↑</code> / <code>Ctrl-↓</code>.
* See all the chat: <code>Ctrl-b z</code> zooms the Claude pane fullscreen; again to restore.
* Close the dashboard: <code>Ctrl-b x</code> (no in-app quit by design).

== Behavior ==
* Shows only todos '''due by now'''; anything scheduled later today is hidden until its time arrives. Header reads: <code>N done · N due · N later</code>.
* <code>q</code> / <code>r</code> are reserved (refresh), so they are never handed out as todo hotkeys.
