Most everything is fine. My orbital appears to be intact, but I might have cracked my cheekbone in two places.
I'm still waiting to hear back. (Having been downgraded from 'trauma' to 'regular old ER patient', they're not
checking in as often. I guess that's good.)

I'll let you know how I'm doing as soon as I find out. I probably won't be coming into the office today.

Oh, and I guess you're wondering what happened. I went for a 38-mile ride out Mt Bonnell and Jollyville,
and as I was starting to scream down a hill, I shifted my hand to a different grip on the handlebars, and
while I only had one hand on the handlebars, I hit a road reflector (a safety device!) and some gravel,
and wiped. the fuck. out. Yes, I always wear my helmet. So I rolled over a few times and ended up on the
curb where my fellow riders helped me and called an ambulance. I should get discharged soon--they just said
everything looked okay for now, though I will need to follow up with an ENT.

Anyway, moving my arm hurts, so I'mgonna go ahead and send this.

Thank you everyone for your support and encouragement! I'm home now, with a couple of stiches and the nausea
has passed.

They say I'm going to be super swollen tomorrow and in pain. I have a pretty good headache and I think it's
time for a nap.

I'll try to be in touch tomorrow to let you know how I'm doing.
