World Banknote Lot — item photo (leaving-Japan catalog)
Hong Kong $10 — HSBC, 1st January 1986
An all-green bank issue. The top band carries 香港上海滙豐銀行 over "The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation", with "10" in both top corners inside Greek-key frames. At the left is the British royal coat of arms — lion and unicorn, "DIEU ET MON DROIT" — and below it a small vignette of a Chinese junk and harbour craft. The centre reads "Promises to pay the bearer / on demand at its Office here / TEN DOLLARS" over an orange-highlighted rosette guilloche, then "HONGKONG 1st JANUARY 1986", "By order of the Board of Directors", and the General Manager's signature. At the right is a blank watermark window in an orange-cornered frame, with 拾圓 set vertically beside it. The hexagonal HSBC logo sits at bottom left. The serial is printed twice.
Condition: relatively crisp, with light foxing at the edges and one soft fold.
Serial number: FG661842 (read from the photograph)
