World Banknote Lot — item photo (leaving-Japan catalog)

Philippines 10 piso — Apolinario Mabini

Brown, tan and blue-grey. "REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS" runs across the top right, with "10" at upper right and in both left corners. Left of centre is a portrait of Apolinario Mabini in a dark suit, named in small capitals beneath. The centre carries the Tagalog promise "ANG SALAPING ITO AY BAYARIN NG BANGKO SENTRAL / AT PINANANAGUTAN NG REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS", the blue-and-gold Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas seal dated 1949, and two signatures captioned "PANGULO NG PILIPINAS" (Ramos) and "TAGAPANGASIWA NG BANGKO SENTRAL". At the right is a manuscript scroll with a quill pen and inkwell. "SAMPUNG PISO" is spelled out along the bottom. The serial is printed twice in red. Photographed on a laptop keyboard.

Condition: circulated, lightly soiled, a couple of soft folds. Listed as demonetized and collector-only in the sale description.
