World Banknote Lot — item photo (leaving-Japan catalog)

Thailand 20 baht — King Bhumibol Adulyadej

Predominantly green on a cream ground. At the right is an engraved portrait of King Bhumibol Adulyadej in full military dress uniform with epaulettes, decorations and sash, wearing eyeglasses. Thai text across the middle reads รัฐบาลไทย (Government of Thailand) and ยี่สิบบาท (twenty baht). A purple Garuda emblem occupies the upper-left corner. The denomination appears both as Arabic "20" (bottom corners) and as the Thai numeral ๒๐ (upper right and centre left) in beaded frames. Two signatures cross the centre. A band of stylised gold-green naga and wave ornament runs along the bottom edge, with the serial repeated in Thai numerals at lower right. The Arabic-numeral serial is at top centre.

Condition: the most worn note in the lot — grubby, limp, multiple vertical folds, softly rounded corners and some surface abrasion.

Serial number: 9 B 6277460 (read from the photograph)
