Times:2014.05.25 the first time Ted got away

We haven't even had him long enough for me to make a Peeps:Ted (cat) entry, but Ted has left the building. Lin was hanging clothes out on the balcony and Ted was like, whooosh and leapt from the balcony to the nearby roof and from there to the ground and has eluded everyone's attempts to capture him since. (30 hours now)

I'm not particularly bothered. He's a cat; he'll be fine. Lin took off early from work to try to catch him. She is still kinda thinking of him like a dog, which doesn't inform her as to how to bring him back into the house.

Tomorrow a trap will arrive from a JAWS (Japan Animal Welfare Society); they said we can use it for a week. But there's like 10 outdoor cats in the neighborhood. I think the first cat we catch and release (unless it's Ted) will inform the others not to mess with the trap.

However, Lin didn't give up. Ted came back, a bit hungry, but otherwise apparently fine. He didn't scamper away when Lin tried to pet him, and he even let her take him inside.
